Quick Rants and Ramblings

Mental Illness.....it fucking sucks. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. At the same time don't let ANYONE tell you you cannot thrive within your life alongside it. It's doable.....doable because most of us are doing it. I think the stat is, like, 1 in 4 or something that's in the club. Not only are we not alone......we are MANY.
Spring Forward......seriously....it's time to stop the whole hour ahead and an hour behind bullshit we gotta go through every spring and fall. There's no extra hour of sleep in either equation. All the time change does at my house is mess with my kids' internal clocks thereby weirding out the dog, the cats and the goats. Takes a week to recalibrate......enough already!
Has anyone stopped to consider that maybe Jennifer Aniston doesn't WANT kids?? Seriously WTF people? Poor girl can't even walk down the street feelin' bloated from a milkshake and everyone gets all 'baby-bump' on her ass. This is 2013 right??Her uterus, her choice, not my business'.....especially when all I give a shit about is that she comes back for Horrible Bosses 2. She rocked that shit!

Call the Midwife by Jennifer Worth is currently keepin' my Kobo warm. Midwifery in post WW11 England. The series is on PBS and in the BBC Canada gift catalogue and looks fecking splendid.
Melissa & Doug's Water Wow Painting Board with Refillable Water Pens. So easy and the kids love 'em. Nice score at Planet Kids in Comox. Their 6th Birthday sale was outtasight.
Tina Fey....anyone who writes a book with a chapter named 'Peeing in Jars with Boys' ....is alright by me. That's some funny shit.

Trader Joe's Speculoos Cookie Butter. Yeah I know it's not available in Canada but I still got two jars of it for Christmas.....Yum
My Kobo E-Reader.....I LOVE books....I really do...but I love that all the classics are FREE. And it fits in my purse like a Jean Auel hardcover never can:)
New lipstick and new mascara. That first fresh colour on your lips and the first fresh stroke on your lashes. Stellar girl moment.....my faves? L'oreal Riche No. 337 - Ruby Crystal and Maybelline Big Fattie Lashes (bright pinky purply tube)
Fall Fairs....the animals, the exhibits, the rides,the cotton candy, even the wasps.....I love it all. I feel good taking my kids to the fair to show them the chicken and the egg and talk about what they think came first.
Island Highlander Bakery....their Butter shortbread is out of this world. Melt in your mouth, could care less I'm off dairy right now so I'll put up with the pain out of this world.....WOW
5 Minute Chocolate Mug Cake: 4 tblspoons flour, 4 tblspoons sugar, 2 tblspoons cocoa, 1 egg, 3 tblspoons milk/water, 3 tblspoons oil, handfull chocolate chips, splash vanilla extract. Mix it all together in one large coffee mug and microwave for about 4 minutes depending on your microwave. A friend passed this along to me. I've tried it...it works...it's awesome....and I'm sorry.
